plan to attend that meeting. SENIORITY
LIST: The
Unions have received the new seniority list from the Company.
If anyone is interested in seeing the seniority list, ask your area
steward. CONTRACT
NEGOTIATIONS: Hopefully,
by the time you read this newsletter you will have been polled about your
priorities for the next contract negotiations.
Some of the things that you might want to consider at the top of your
priority list are: First,
a number of people have voiced disapproval of Christmas shutdown.
It would not cost the Company anything to do away with the shutdown.
Secondly, should the contract end in July instead of November?
Negotiations will begin in early September since our current contract
expires November 8, 2008. Our next monthly meeting is August 14, 2008, at 2:45. It will be held in the Union Hall at 171 Thames Street in Groton. |
