Carpenters’ Local 33 out of Boston, MA, is having their annual golf tournament
called “Drive for Cancer Research” at Stow Acres Country Club in Stow, MA, on Friday, September 15, 2006. The entry fee is $135 per person and $540 for a team of four. Included is lunch, greens fees, cart, continental breakfast, dinner, and gifts. Anyone interested in playing, please contact Mike Malone.
UNION COUNSELORS: Recently two of our members successfully completed the Union Community Activist Network Training Program. Trish Grimshaw and John Lamay are to be congratulated for their dedication to this program. Past trainees were Paul Brie, Steve Adams, Don Kniss, Maria Corazzelli, and Mike Rourke. This training program is sponsored by the United Way for people needing help with child care, drug abuse, health problems, rehabilitation, youth guidance, and other social problems. Please feel free to see assistance from these union brothers and sisters if you feel you need help with any of these issues.
LOCAL 1302 ELECTION RESULTS: I would like to thank our former stewards and Executive Board members who served the Union in the past three years. The time that they took to help and serve our Union brothers and sisters is greatly appreciated. I wish them the best! I would also like to welcome our new stewards and Executive Board members to the team and hope that they have good experiences dealing with the issues which arise over the course of the next three years.
